MICHAEL M. MATZA, P.E. Electrical Engineer Michael M. Matza has been active in the Engineering field dealing with National and Local Electrical Codes and numerous Electrical Engineering Standards Since 1966. A registered Professional Engineer, he is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley where he obtained his Bachelor of Science and the University of Southern California where he obtained his Masters of Science. Mr. Matza has had an extremely diversified career that began in 1966 and has included hospitals, shopping centers, business offices, apartment buildings, commercial facilities and industrial systems. He has experience in the design of extra high voltage transmission lines, preparation of engineering analysis and computerization of transmission line systems. The above duties involved systems planning for four Southern California counties. Mr. Matza"s work experience includes employment in the aerospace industry from 1973 - 1976 where he was involved with the design of high-voltage Naval communication systems, and the associated independent generation and underground distribution systems. During this period Mr. Matza participated in technical feasibility studies and economic analysis of the United States energy resources. He then started his own company in mid 1976 which he operated until mid 2005. His experience includes engineering design, construction management and on site supervision. His ability to maintain engineering design schedules and construction budgets, and to be conscious of cost without over estimating, is due to his experience in engineering and the knowledge of system installations. This is enhanced by his commitment to the Profession and ethical pursuit of the service he provides his clients. Mr. Matza has been involved with approximately 40 cases, and has testified at trial and deposition numerous times. Mr. Matza demonstrates confidence and is a competent forensic engineer. Mr. Matza is involved with various professional societies which include American Consulting Engineers Council, Association of Consulting Electrical Engineers, California Society of Professional Engineers (Past President of the San Fernando Chapter), National Fire Protection Association and Consulting Engineers and Land Surveyors of California. |
